The Food Bank was founded in 1984 and its mission is “to end hunger and malnutrition in the Delaware Valley by rescuing surplus food and distributing it to local organizations serving people in need. Last year, the Food Bank provided approximately 22 million pounds of food to its members.”

The PAACDC is a member with the Food Bank, providing the following options:

Emergency pantry: readily available food items that can be picked up by simple walk-ins

Food baskets:
combination of different food items in a basket distributed among community members on a monthly basis

The PAACDC’s mission with the Food Bank is to fight hunger and provide the basic necessities for Arab-Americans to lead a better life.
